O Old fashioned
Considering my name is 8*3=24 letters...tht's a lotta adjectives, wouldn't u say???
Well forget the adjectives,(I'll get into the adjectives describing me in a later post~watch out for that one!heehee!) just that the pronunciation of my name is a cause for complain. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore my name. I love it. It's just so....umm....well...ME! I have yet to find another Penny Braganza in the world...and I was the only Penny in my entire school and college... It's nice having a unique name! But as unique as this??? Hehe, ask my friends and classmates, I was renowned in school for having to be the only one to stand up on the first day of the new school year and introduce myself to the teacher(when she would hit roll number 4 or 5 or 6 in the attendance register and mumble "...uh uh Pennylopee", or "Pennylope" or even worse "Pennylopa"-whoa where did tht "a" come from???) by saying, "Umm, Ma'am, thats me- My name is 'Penelope' but you can call me 'Penny'" .
That was school, in College when studying Tennyson's Ulysses, I was ragged alot coz Penelope was Ulysses' wife and she wasn't portrayed exceptionally well in the poem..hehe. Newy enough now with the anecdotes about my infamous name.
"What's in a name? That which we call a rose By any other name would smell as sweet."
--From Romeo and Juliet (II, ii, 1-2)
Nah... I disagree... I would hate to be called by any other name... "Penny" is what works for me!!!
P.S. just so u readers know how to pronounce it....it's "pe-NEL-o-pee"
